Wendy and Justin’s Miniature Golf Engagement Session!

Wendy and Justin are getting married in October.  They are also miniature golf aficionados, so decided to have their engagement session at Golf Country this past weekend.  How fun is that?

We had a great time running around the courses, having a near ice cream fatality, and drinking lime rickeys.   We were also lucky because it was not 12,000 degrees on Sunday night as I’d feared it would be.  Here are a few of my faves from the shoot!

Revere Beach

I’ve been really busy with business lately.  So busy, in fact, that I haven’t shot any  personal work in nearly a year!   For two weeks in July I assisted the instructor at CDIA’s high school photography summer camp.  One of my favorite things about teaching (and I experience this with my middle school students) is getting to see through other photographers’ eyes.  The quality of the work was tremendous, and I was really inspired to take some photos for myself!  As part of the camp we went on a field trip to Revere Beach in pursuit of interesting people.   We were there during the sand sculptures, but my photographic goal was to make photos that said “hot day at the beach” because we were there on a ridiculously hot day at the beach.  I only shot ten frames while we were there (the other time was spent helping the students and eating the worst beach food ever).  Here are my favorite four!

Sanam and Navid’s Super Fun Wedding!

I had the best time at Sanam and Navid’s wedding this past weekend!  I knew it was going to be awesome, based on my experience photographing their engagement party earlier this year.  Both of their families are amazing, all of their guests were super fun (so much dancing!), and Sanam and Navid are both adorably silly.  Unfortunately it rained a bit, so we ended up taking some photos in the hotel’s kitchen during the reception.  This is why I love Sanam and Navid – when I suggested taking photos in the kitchen, they were both up for it!   Other highlights included a dance routine down the aisle, Navid’s making the bridal party announcements into the reception, balloons during the first dance, and some guests spontaneously breaking out into a Thriller routine.   This was a really difficult edit to make since there were so many great moments at the wedding.   Here are a few of my favorites!  Enjoy!

Sanam - I love them! You are the best! I wish I could hire you to just photograph my life 24/7 :)

Poster Shoot

I had so much fun last week shooting some promo images for a comedy show that Mehran is putting up in August.  The show is going to be a multimedia extravaganza featuring local comics and DJs.  I’ll post a link to the poster once its done!  In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites shots from the shoot!

Rachel and Tim’s Engagement Session in Salem

I met Rachel and Tim for the first time this past weekend at their engagement shoot in Salem!  I was really excited to meet them – they are from Western MA and we’ve only ever spoken by phone.  We started off in a cemetary (so cool!) and then, out of nowhere, it started to pour.  We hid under a tree until things got really bad, and then went into a wax museum to wait out the rain.  The storm only lasted about twenty minutes, after which it cleared up and we took more photos in the cemetary and then around Salem.  Rachel and Tim were super fun and I’m psyched to shoot their wedding next July!
