The wedding and holiday seasons are over, which means I’m left with free time to tend to business-related things. I’m busily going through all of the photos I’ve taken this year in order to launch my new website! I’m getting caught up on back-ups and editing, and am learning about exciting things like equipment insurance and album-making! Basically, the beginning of the year is a time to get organized in order to be prepared for what will hopefully be a successful year of wonderful photo-making.
As I was digging through photos from 2008, I realized that I never had time to post photos from my trip to Europe last spring! Right before leaving for our trip, we closed on our house, so when we returned we were really excited about our home (and wedding-planning) and I didn’t really deal with the photos… until now!
Our trip began with one day in Milan. It was my first time in Italy… finally!!! As luck would have it, my one day in Italy was on May 1st, which in Europe is May Day, a holiday on which nothing is open. So my big plans for shopping shopping shopping were foiled. But, the photos!!! Everyone was out – there were parades and festivals and all manner of wonderful culture to experience that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen.
