I had the distinct pleasure of photographing a wedding with my good friend (and food photographer extraordinaire!) Kristin Teig a few weeks ago. Kristin asked me to take lots of photos of kids, and boy did I ever! Melanie and Chris’ wedding was kid-friendly and therefore awesome. There was brunch (I have concluded that brunch weddings are the best thing ever), toys, sun, and total happiness. I had the best time, and thought it would be fun to post a kid-centric view of the wedding. Enjoy the cuteness!!!
Jen and Nick got married this weekend in Brookfield, MA. They had a lovely church ceremony, followed by a beautiful outdoor reception at the Elm Hill Center. The reception was tractor-themed, and Jen, Nick and their entire wedding party arrived at the reception on a tractor! The reception was super fun, complete with bouquet and garter toss, dancing, adorable kids, and gorilla. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day!

Wendy and Justin are getting married in October. They are also miniature golf aficionados, so decided to have their engagement session at Golf Country this past weekend. How fun is that?
We had a great time running around the courses, having a near ice cream fatality, and drinking lime rickeys. We were also lucky because it was not 12,000 degrees on Sunday night as I’d feared it would be. Here are a few of my faves from the shoot!

I’ve been really busy with business lately. So busy, in fact, that I haven’t shot any personal work in nearly a year! For two weeks in July I assisted the instructor at CDIA’s high school photography summer camp. One of my favorite things about teaching (and I experience this with my middle school students) is getting to see through other photographers’ eyes. The quality of the work was tremendous, and I was really inspired to take some photos for myself! As part of the camp we went on a field trip to Revere Beach in pursuit of interesting people. We were there during the sand sculptures, but my photographic goal was to make photos that said “hot day at the beach” because we were there on a ridiculously hot day at the beach. I only shot ten frames while we were there (the other time was spent helping the students and eating the worst beach food ever). Here are my favorite four!

As part of the high school photo camp this summer, we took the students on a field trip to the Harvard Museum of Natural History. I’ve lived in MA for most of my life and had never been! It was beautifully creepy and was a photographer’s dream. I focused mainly on fish and hominids, with the occasional cute stuffed mammal thrown in. Enjoy!
